Rumble in the Fireopal Empty Rumble in the Fireopal

Post by Mercury Wed Mar 06, 2019 8:16 pm

The Dojo was on a rundown street, next to a repossessed 7/11 and a coin operated laundry mat that was only open during the day. Across the street sat a discreet Chinese buffet, the buffet's owner owned the Dojo, and though he taught a class in Jeet Kun Do, the dojo was too poor to be kept open on such a meager following. There was however ways to keep it open, like hosting mixed martial arts, sparring, training and competitions. Including weapon based martial arts like Kendo and HEMA. It's mixed following was quite the draw for Roy, who after having his ass handed to him in more than a few street brawls on his path to hero-hood had decided to double down on his martial arts skills. Focusing on a Striking, Ground, and Weapon martial art respectively, each of which would complement his powers.

While Roy wasn't a master he'd quickly become a proficient practitioner in all three. Perhaps because he was a stellar athlete and was light on his feet and eager to learn, or perhaps he just wanted to get the better of the next guy that grabbed him by the collar.

"Roy you're up!" The arena master called out to the white haired kid in his mixed Asian accent, that was clear enough for most English speakers to understand without a second thought. The arena master was the middle-aged Chinese immigrant who managed the Buffet, but martial arts was his real calling. He pulled the whistle hanging down over the Dojo's signature shirt into his mouth and blew it to call both fighters to attention.

Stepping into the arena, Roy didn't wear a Gi like most of the others here, he wore athletic pants, and a tank-top shirt, leaving his arms and legs open to the air. He'd not liked Gi's as they felt restrictive, though most would argue otherwise. Roy's first opponent was one of the arena master's weekly student's a Jeet Kun Do, kung-fu type, while fit, he was obviously inspired by the whole Bruce Lee fad that most of the Arena Master's students were.

With the call to fight came immediate, instant action. The JKD student stepping in with a power-jab, a boxing move of all things, that Roy quickly stepped laterally to avoid, his motion jagged and unready for the action as the JKD student followed it up with a spinning-back punch. Also not JKD, but it worked for this guy as Roy was forced to bring his arms up and block the attack to his head being sent end over gourd, but not landing on the mat has hands planted and he wheeled out of the hit planting his motion into the mat as he jumped a little his motion smoothing out, a simple breath was given up as he relaxed and felt himself catching onto the JKD student's flow.

A quick offensive positioning step brought Roy closer to his nameless opponent, who opened up with a more Kung-fu scissor kick. Which hit nothing but air as Roy cartwheeled out of the way, bringing himself down onto all fours and swinging his kick low for the JKD student's feet, sweeping them out from under him dropping him onto the mat, onto his back hard enough to knock the wind out of him with a solid "GUH!"

Standing back up Roy jumped a little but his opponent tapped the mat a few times in succession before rolling to his feet, and stumbling out of the circle on the mats that made up the ring. "Huh." Roy mumbled in confusion at the end of the match, looking around at the group of students, settling onto his heels and waiting for the arena master to call out the next challenger.

Rumble in the Fireopal Empty Re: Rumble in the Fireopal

Post by Whirlwind Wed Mar 06, 2019 11:22 pm

Aella hadn’t really been enjoying herself the last few weeks.  After being wounded in a fight against the murder that had assassinated someone in one of the underground fight circuits, she’d normally frequented. After that she’d had to take time off from her sports clubs and physical training to heal the wound in her shoulder. Luckily it hadn’t hit anything important, and she had no problem healing, though her explanations for how she gut the injury had been a bit hard to come up with. Aella would have thought that would be the worst of it, however it turned out that was only the start of her problems.

Aella had figured she’d never develop any sort of power, after all she was already seventeen, and well past the point most people’s powers surfaced. Something she’d been fine with, as she’d already gained her own level of strength through simple hard work and dedication.

It had been a surprise to wake up one morning to suddenly find herself with her ears suddenly on the top of her head, and a tail protruded from her as well it seemed. It was a bit of a strange power, and she’d found her hearing more sensitive as well. At first it seemed beneficial, but the tail had already caused her a number of problems. She was a trained martial artist, and as a result was used to being highly familiar with her own body. The tail added an unknown and had caused her balance to be altered, something that was rather difficult to get used to. She still had problems with her balance even now, though that didn’t stop a familiar desire from burning through her. The desire to fight and test herself as she usually did.  So, she’d come out here, wearing her normal tank top and the shorts she usually trained in. Her tail moving behind her as though it had a made of its own. There were wraps going up her arms and legs, and hopefully she’d get her chance to fight soon.

Aella hadn’t really planned to come out here. But the desire to fight had pushed her to look for a way to blow off some steam given her recent problems. So, the martial artist found herself at the small dojo in east diamond just outside a familiar Chinese restaurant.  She’d been here before, though not frequently enough that she’d be recognized on sight.  One fight had just ended almost disappointingly quickly, though Aella did have the time to see some of the victor’s style. She couldn’t exactly place it specifically, though it seemed to be one of those with flashier movements. Some form of Kungfu maybe? Though it didn’t look like it to her, likely something she just didn’t encounter often enough to be able to place.

The proprietor, an older looking Chinese man called for the next challenger and Aella was eager to volunteer, though she found herself stumbling slightly on the way to the the center of the room to fight.. She didn’t recognize the other fighter per se, though he looked somewhat familiar.

Rumble in the Fireopal Empty Re: Rumble in the Fireopal

Post by Mercury Wed Mar 06, 2019 11:42 pm

Roy hadn't spent too much time looking over the opposition, or he would have lingered on the girl with the obvious cat-ears and tail. It was only a quick moment of study as he bounced a little in place, moving to the pads of his feet, then rocking smoothly back to his heels when he was done. His eyes lingered on the girl for a moment, a moment to take in the details of her cat-like features, Roy wasn't exactly a regular here but apparently neither was she. Most of the time the Super Hero Academy had places for those with gifts to spar. However it wasn't her extra features that held his attention, but her pensive face, she was here to resolve something within herself.

The proprietor of the dojo had caught Roy's gaze on the girl and he waved the girl over. "You, Maneki-chan, you a fighter? Step into the ring! Roy won't hurt you! Maybe you give him a hard time?" The Proprietor was quite the funny guy as he smiled and waved Aella into the circle used for a ring. Several other of those here to spar took notice of Aella as well, many eyes began to linger on her cat features, the obvious signs of a super-hero endowed person. Others had a more vested interest in the curvature of her musculature and the parts of her that weren't exactly muscular.

Crossing his arms Roy smiled looking into Aella's eyes, waiting for her to come. There was something about her, something that told him that she was an experienced fighter, and it wasn't her superpowers, but something was off with the way she stepped as well... It was enough to make a white eyebrow over Roy's right eye to raise in questioning interest. "What's your name?" He would bluntly request, after all the match's ref had already introduced him.

Aella wasn’t ignorant of the looks she got, nor did she really mind them all that much. Things seemed strange now, she could easily hear the hushed conversations of students within the crowd and was also aware not all the attention was on her more abnormal features. “Yeah, I’ll fight.” She called back to the proprietor, with a confident grin. The guy she was fighting seemed like a bit of a strange one himself appearancewise, and she couldn’t help but wonder where she’d seen him before.

“Aella, and yours was Roy?” She replied when he asked about her name. There was something familiar about the guy, and Aella only realized what as soon as she took on her stance. She’d moved to the side  Hands up, chin tucked, as though she were looking at something closely that were between the two arms. The stance would seem somewhat familiar to a boxing stance, though with variations than anyone vaguely familiar with boxing might notice. “I’m ready to start this thing whenever you are.” Aella called out, still grinning. This was better, she was beginning to get excited, especially since she wasn’t really familiar with this guy’s style, making it so the fight. She’d give him a second to get ready himself, waiting for the fight to be called. The name Roy seemed a bit familiar, and suddenly a thought occured to the martial artist. “wait..arent you that guy that got booted from the football team or something?”

"That's right." Roy said keeping his hands up open and palms out. The call for begin came from the ref, the white haired boy was guessing the distance as he stepped in sure he could keep himself just out of range of a punch or a high kick as he made the obvious exaggerated step, it was a big step and there was a lot of motion in it, as his body ducked low into the step, moving all of it quickly as he closed the gap to her side of the ring. "On both counts." If she made a move she'd need to re-position, and in watching her struggling movements he would be able to determine if it was a punch or a kick, already having limited her choices. Her stance was very similar to a kickboxer stance after all, and that's the assumption he'd go on for now.

Rumble in the Fireopal Empty Re: Rumble in the Fireopal

Post by SirenSong Sun Mar 10, 2019 3:05 am

The boy’s apparent history seemed a bit strange, with him admitting to the rumor but Aella didn’t really know any detail about the incident. She wasn’t the type to really pay much attention to people gossiping about stuff like that much. Aella watched her opponent’s movements cautiously, the movement was definitely strange to her, once again being attributed to the strange style. It seemed almost exaggerated, but Aella could already tell there was some sense in the approach. It limited her options to an extent,a high kick would be easy enough to avoid, and  punch would be similar.   So, she waited for just the right moment before striking out with a low kick, aiming to go for the avenue of attack most readily available. She measured the distance mentally, a low kick was chosen instead, with Aella keeping her guard up as she expected an attack. The kick would come in at Roy’s knee, and would have been followed up if not for what happened next.

Aella frowned as she almost stumbled after making the kick, her faulty sense of balance still hindering her and allowing for a decent opening to appear in her defenses. The martial artist trying her best to recover quickly before her opponent take advantage.

The motion with which Roy moved didn't even slow as the low kick came in and he spun, bringing his off-foot over her kick and bounding over the low attack, his toes just barely missing her shin, and continuing in the unbroken fluid movement, as he watched her stumbled upon recovering the kick, a rookie mistake? No. Something about how she kicked told him that wasn't the case, her form had been excellent as far as he was concerned, and in that pause the opening to counter-attack was something deeper, she had ears and a tail.

Taking his speed even lower, Roy rolled dropping down to a knee, and rolling through the motion as she recovered, he wasn't making any offensive movements, as now it seemed that lulling her into an attack and counter attacking was the way to go! With that Roy cartwheeled out of his roll, passing close to her, hoping she would throw a hay-maker Hook and open her balance up again.

Rumble in the Fireopal Empty Re: Rumble in the Fireopal

Post by Whirlwind Mon Mar 11, 2019 1:55 pm

Aella was a bit surprised her opponent hadn’t taken advsntage of her moment of disbalance when he had such an opportunity. She managed to regain her footing at least, but the lack of balance still concerned her, as Aella was used to being able to rely on her hard earned skill only now it seemed like her body had rebelled against her. A carefully cultivated sense of balance had been thrown for a loop by the addition of a tail. Still Aella wasn’t about to let herself be beaten over something like this. A determined look came over Aella, as she decided to take the offensive. Aella made another attempt at another attack, in this case another kick aimed for what ordinarily would hit an opponent’s thigh, though in the stance the other fighter was currently in, it was aimed more for his torso. Aella figured her opponent could easily jump back or roll to either direction.

The Muay thai fighter didn’t really expect the kick itself to be effective, though that wasn’t entirely her purpose. Though hopefully his momentum might work against him. She still stumbled a bit as her tail swayed and threw her balance off, though not near as much as the last time. This time Aella had been expecting it after all.

There was quite a bit of motion in Roy's form as Aella swung her leg around again. But as low as his stance and motion were the young man's form could get even lower than what he was already doing. Kicking his feet out from his low position and sliding forward, Aella's kick bouncing off his shoulder as he got really low. He noted the power in her attack as he slide across the map, with his pants gliding over the mats like they were greased.

The motion of Roy's slide pushed him through Aella's stumbling legs he'd gotten a good look at her from beneath, giving him a unique perspective on her tail, his hand reaching out and swiping at her standing foot as she recovered from the kick, turning over in the slide, planting his feet and coming up to stand, as she hopefully fell onto her face. "You're incredibly fast, but your balance is off. I'm guessing you're fighting your tail."

Aella could only watch as her opponent slide under her, trying to recover her stance only to have her leg knocked out from under her. The martial artist did what she could to control the fall, more out of a trained instinct than anything. A bad landing could easily lead to serious injury, and while the mats dojos like this used made it safer, she’d still seen some people walk away more injured than they would have been otherwise by landing wrong from a fall. Still she hit the mat, a bit more painfully than intended as she’d forgotten to take the tail into account.

She wasn’t too surprised when the guy identified the issue, the observation only serving as further proof that he was actually worth fighting. Most people wouldn’t have figured it out just by watching exactly what the problem was. “Yeah, not really used to it yet.” She admitted, climbing to her feet herself “thought maybe some sparring would help me see just how off it was.” She admitted as she readopted a fighting stance. She wasn’t about to let the problem with the tail stop her. Her opponent was standing now at least, and Aella would take advantage of that, giving it only a moment before going back on the attack. She advanced, before jabbing at her opponent, more to measure the distance between them, though. She figured itd be best to avoid putting too much on her balance right now. The jab would be followed by an elbow that would catch her opponent’s body should he fail to avoid, and from there she’d try to press the advantage with a knee strike, aimed for her opponent’s midsection.

Just because she had a different reason for this fight than others, didn’t mean she wasn’t fighting to win.

Roy's smile widened, as she stood back up and didn't tap out. She started talking about how he was right about her tail, and how she wasn't used to it. "I'm sure you'll master it, just don't think about it, just do." He took his fighting stance again and waiting for her attack and attack she did. Aella's lead in was a jab, a jab that found Roy's left palm, as he batted it away, before her elbow came around. Her last two kicks had lulled the young man into a sense that she liked her kicks and it found the middle of his sternum, causing him to exhale violently and leaving him open, as the edge of their ring was only a little further behind him as her knee strike would come up, Roy would dance away with the blow from her elbow falling back and rolling along the side of the ring, still obviously gasping for air, as he found his footing and low stance again.

"Roy-boy! You Okay?" The old Asian asked only to be handwaved by the young hero. In a brawl, Roy would have opened with his sub-cutaneous armor, and Aella's fist and elbow would have felt like she was punching a metal plate, not a fleshy body. However he already had enough of an advantage having all of his faculties intact and he wasn't going to stack the field against her.

Stepping in Roy decided to go on the offensive, he lunged forward rolling his torso around, swinging two kicks very high after one another, before, touching and doing a backwards handstand, to bring an kick down onto his opponent. The moves were wide and sweeping, they would be easy enough for someone as skilled as he thought Aella was to avoid regularly, but it might be harder for her with her tail.

Rumble in the Fireopal Empty Re: Rumble in the Fireopal

Post by Whirlwind Tue Mar 12, 2019 11:31 pm

Aella let out a breath she didn’t know she’d been holding as her opponent went down, though obviously he wasn’t done quite yet. She was a bit worried she’d hit him too hard at first, as Muay Thai was a style that tended to be rather…dangerous. While she had the control to keep,  He recovered enough, though it was obvious her attack had been effective. She watched as Roy resumed his stance from earlier, though she was at least a bit more confident.

The two kicks were easy enough to see coming, and she managed to step out of the way of the first, only for her to lose her balance once again from the movement, while she was able to try to dodge the second, Aella ended up getting clipped in the shoulder by the attack. Still she recovered quickly enough, more than used to taking hits, with the hit itself only really being a glancing blow anyways. Aella knew it would still leave quite a bruise later. The boy’s more exaggerated movement made his attacks a bit harder to predict, but it did give her just enough time to recover, and she used her wrapped forearm to block the kick the boy made, at the same time stepping in to attempt a knee strike on her opponent. As the handstand didn’t seem the easiest position to dodge from.

Aella did realize that with her current handicap, dodging likely wasn’t a good idea, a more solid and direct defense was likely a better solution. The knee strike itself was something of a risk, but a calculated one. An unpredicted dodge would still give her time to recover hopefully, and if the attack was successful it’d do more than enough damage to her opponent to be worth any sort of retaliation.

“Jeez, that’s an interesting style you're using? Some kind of Wushu or Kungfu?” she’d ask.

Aella moved very well considering her impediment, Roy's kick landing, but just enough to make an impact on her form, though she recovered from the hit nicely, perhaps she was getting used to the tail after all? He liked the idea of jumping in head first and learning as you went. He would smile up at her as she started back in keeping her stance and her balance in line and moving in with a knee, as he took back to his handstand stance.

Her attack would strike Roy, but not in the way she'd imagined, bending his elbows and bringing his knee down, he would meet her knee with his own, the top of his knee slamming into the top of hers feeling the numbness surge down his leg followed by the pain of the heavy impact between the two fighters. Kicking off her knee with his own, Roy would launch into an inverted spin kick. It was a fast, high attack, leaving him vulnerable above the waist if she managed to dodge it, but it was something he'd just learned and would be just surprising enough to hopefully take her off guard and give him a good hit.

Aella clenched her teeth as the their knees collided but managed to focus on regaining her stance. She was used to pain like this, as it was somewhat inevitable given the nature of her martial arts style. It was the movement of her tail that once again set her back more so than the pain from their clash. The tail pushing her body sideward as it shifted it’s weight shifted behind her. Though Aella could notice at least that she wasn’t the only one affected by the clash, though like her it appeared that her opponent was able to work through the pain and numbness.

The spinning kick was near enough to catch Aella by surprise, and her recovery had certainly been too late for her to dodge the attack out of hand. Instead, Aella raised her arms to intercept the kick. She could tell this wasn’t a technique her opponent was overly familiar with, minor flaws in technique yet to be polished out by hard training evident to her even if she wasn’t overly familiar with the style. Aella’s defensive guard would use her forearm to catch the leg, counterattacking at near the same time with a knee strike aimed at her opponent’s gut, meant to wind him.

The block itself was somewhat painful, The female martial artist was a bit impressed that her opponent could even attack in the position he was in, but didn't let the pain keep her from counterattacking. Her leg shooting out in a low kick that, ordinarily would be meant to to kick an opponent's legs out from under them. It's current purpose similar, though she'd never had to kick someone's  arms out from under him like she did in this instance.

It was a surprise to Roy that she was able to catch the kicks, more so, he realized that she'd been forced to block them as her balance wouldn't let her move quickly enough to evade such a quick and surprising attack. Her counter attack came in the form of a quick low sweeping kick that took Roy's hands out from underneath him, causing him to fall with a loud thud onto the mats and quickly roll away from Aella and to his feet. "Even with your impairment you're quite a capable fighter." Roy complemented, taking a different stance from before and throwing his torso over and giving a quick swinging movement to his body flipping over himself, and giving a powerful sweeping kick towards Aella's midriff, if she blocked this one she'd be on her ass for sure! And he wasn't even touching the ground this time, she needed to dodge this one, and there was no sweeping his legs or arms out this time.

“Thanks, you’re not bad either.” Aella commented with a grin. She didn’t really think the guy would have posed a challenge for her without her own impairment, but he was actually rather decent of a fighter for someone that was likely closer to a hobbyist than a dedicated fighter like herself. The recognized the power in Roy’s kick, as he had changed stances as well, Aella was able to tell the power of the attack, and it left her with few options. She could attempt to avoid and draw out the fight. Though it would open up far too much of an opening for her opponent to risk. Aella knew she could attempt to stand her ground as well, but that would likely not help.

Instead, another idea came to Aella to put an end to this, and while she was well aware to the risk it created, the fighter decided the best chance she had to end this was to take the offensive. Rather than move back, she moved forward, into the momentum of the other fighter as her arms reached up to get a grip on the other fighter. Aiming to get a grip onto the other fighter and pull them into a knee strike. Instinctively aiming for his head.

In one moment Roy had the momentum and controlled the flow of battle. And in the next moment his face was pushing across the mat on the ground, his eyes rolled into the back of his head, knocked out of his gourd for a moment as his eyes roll back to their rightful forward place and he pushes up with his hands his vision still blurred. Around him he could hear the jeers and the cheers of his peers, which he'd not noticed before. As his eyes regained focus he could see a drop of blood dripping from his nose onto the ring floor.

Above him, the old Asian host lowered a hand and called the match in Aella's favor. "Good work Maineki-chan." He congratulated, with a smile stepping between the two. "You pretty good." Having connected with her knee, Aella would feel like she'd slammed a 12lb kettle bell into her knee, Roy's defensive power having protected his dome from the most serious of the damage her attack would have caused.

Having known that he'd been handily beaten and so quickly it'd not even registered the first word out of Roy's mouth was. "Wow..." Slowly pushing himself to his feet, when most fighters would just have stayed down, Roy tapped the mat on his way up, he couldn't endure another hit like that if he'd wanted to walk out of here under his own power. "...that was a hell of a hit."

Aella let out a breath, holding her stance for a moment until she was sure the fight was over before the sudden realization of the power, she’d put into that last hit struck her. She hadn’t meant to turn the fight into that serious of an engagement and had originally not planned to make any shots to Roy’s head. She didn’t normally aim for headshots when sparing, or if she did, she’d ordinarily try to pull the blow so she didn’t accidentally cause permanent injury. The pain from her knee, as though she’d struck something much harder than a person’s skull only made her more worried. She was reassured when she saw the him move, though the catgirl was somewhat concerned. “jeez you ok? Didn’t mean to hit you that hard.” Aella asked, her hand rubbing her now sore knee. Pain beginning to make itself known as the adrenaline from the fight faded away.

She moved to help Roy up, though apparently, he didn’t really need the help as Roy managed to stand up on his own. She gave the Asian man a polite nod , now that she knew there wasn’t too much to worry about. “Yeah…I’ve been training since I was a kid so…” She responded, both to the owner’s comments as well as Roy’s comment about the hit. “Sorry, guess I got a bit carried away there though….”

Rumble in the Fireopal Empty Re: Rumble in the Fireopal

"Nah it's alright." Roy responded to Aella as he looked up at her, slowly shaking his head, as if trying to get the last of his braincells in the order they'd been knocked free of, stopping only to render a friendly smile to her. He could appreciate the turn in fortunes, after all, she was a fighter and what she'd done was quite amazing. The silver haired boy would also nod when she talked about how she'd been training since she was a kid, he'd only taken up Capoeira since moving to Ruby a few years ago. With their physiques about equal and even with her handicap, her capitalizing on the right moment through years of fighting had made sense. She saw the opening and he hit the mat. Fights were like that.

Clearing the mat, as one of the others at the dojo ran in and washed Roy's blood of the mat, Roy looked to Aella. "Nah it's alright." He sounded funny because he staunched the bleeding in his nose with the towel that'd been draped over his head, letting the blood clot, an action that seemed like second nature now, with all the fights and heavy sparing he'd been involved in. He would look her up and down, not really having had the chance before the fight, his eyes lingering a little longer on her feline features, studying them for a moment. "You were really fluid there for a moment." He noted, "When you reacted..."

Aella grinned, though she was still a bit surprised by the fact Roy was already up and moving around. At least after taking a hit like that. She knew how powerful the strike had been, and the dull pain in her knee was a constant reminder of that. Still he didn’t seem injured…maybe he just had a strangely hard head? “You probably shouldn’t be moving around so soon.” She warned, as the possibility of a concussion was still possible after all. She knew a bit about them, like any experienced fighter might, especially considering most including her had suffered from one a time or two.

“Fluid?” She asked curiously. Fluidity wasn’t one often used to describe her martial arts style, as it was far more aggressive and direct than the arts that usually got praise like that. Still she was a skilled fighter even with her new cat features. “I guess, not really something most people would use for how I fight…” She noticed him staring at her cat features, feeling a bit self-conscious. “it’s rude to stare you know.” She remarked smirking, though It would be obvious she didn’t really mind. It was a bit weird for her to see as well, when she had looked at herself in the mirror. She made for a side area of the ring, figuring it’d be best if they let someone else take the ring for a bit. “That was a good fight though, I’ll have to fight you again sometime.” She called out over her shoulder, not checking on whether he’d follow or not.

"Yeah, I think that's the best way to describe it." Roy responded following her, as he walked, "I doubt I'll be the last one to stare at you." Following her, he could feel his head throbbing a little bit each time his left foot hit the floor. He didn't know if he had a concussion or not, but he would carry on like he didn't walking along with her with a smile, as they found a quiet corner of the dojo, and he turned to Aella and placed his hands on his hips. "What I was saying was that when you were dodging before your movements looked forced and ragged, and there was something about the way you moved right before I went down. It was a ton smoother, and seemed way faster." It was a practiced move but with how she was impaired it seemed odd that she could pull off such a practiced move.

"Umm... I was wondering." The silver haired boy lead in glancing at Aella's ears and tail. "Can you feel them? I mean touch? And do you hear better?"

“Ah” Aella replied, thinking back to that moment. It had been much more fluid, probably because she didn’t think about it? “Guess I see what you mean, don’t really know why though.” She answered, though the speed had mostly been her own, as Aella hadn’t held back nearly as much as she typically would against most opponents. Still it seemed strange, a possible way for her to figure out how to solve this balance problem? She didn’t know, but it had almost seemed instinctual, more so than anything cognitive.

“I’ll have to think about it.” She stated, more thinking out loud rather than really responding to Roy.The talk going back to her cat features made her take on a thoughtful expression. “Yeah, it’s actually a bit strange how normal they feel, almost like I had them all my life or something I can hear better…a lot better actually. It’s not just like someone turned up the volume or something.” Aella admitted. She wasn’t sure how to explain it, but she could hear sounds other humans didn’t seem to be able to. uch like how animals could with sounds humans couldn’t. “It feels like any other part of my body though, just covered in fur….”

It was interesting as she talked, her tail twitched, talking about her balance it switched sides, and Roy started to think that the actions were involuntary. She would be a hell of an act to follow if she got her balance together. He would nod through her explanation.

Roy looked away for a moment, he obviously wanted something more from her a light blush on his face as he asked. "Well I mean... "He looked down before looking her in the eyes with all seriousness. "Could... I touch them?" The confident boy asked in a shyness that was completely out of character. But his curiosity overruled his awkward moment as he was really interested to see how her ears and tail felt.

Aella would seem to be unaware that her tail moved as the girl explained how normal her situation was to most people. She could tell that Roy seemed to be evasive of what he really wanted, before he went about saying it bluntly. She wasn’t necessarily embarrassed by the circumstances, but it did seem somewhat awkward of a request to ask.

“It’s fine I guess just…don’t be too hard on them.” The martial artist conceded feeling more than a little awkward about the whole situation. Still it seemed a weird request even if she knew that she herself would more than likely be curious about the whole situation.

It took Roy a moment as he figured she'd turn down his request, but when she agreed he seemed a little shocked, it was kind of an intimate thing to touch some, so he would definitely head her request and slowly reach out for her head, slowly letting his fingertips run along the ridge of her ear, before softly brushing down them, and repeating on the other one completely enraptured by what he was doing, focusing on the sensation, letting his soft strokes of the ears becoming a little more comprehensive eventually running his sensitive palm over the fur of hear ears, cocking his head to the side as he does. Obviously he was in his own little world, dwelling on the sensation.
