Close Encounters of the Inkvisible Kind (Private with Vex)

Sienna had had a long day.

First, she was trying to figure out how to better use her power, which turned out to be exhausting, and just as she'd settled down and was about to doze off, she was called by her mother to go out and get a few things for the household. Secondly, she visited store after store, unable to find what she needed. Finally, she found the last few things on her list, but ended up having to use her allowance to pay for it, since her mother hadn't left enough money for her to get everything

With all that out of the way, though, she dropped off those things at home and made one last shopping trip. She may have still been pretty tired, but the thought of visiting her favorite stores gave her enough energy to keep a big smile on her face. That smile faded (if only a little) when her favorite music store didn't have anything interesting today, and a little more when she didn't have enough to get a cute pair of sunglasses that were at a store she'd only recently found. She sighed, then put on her smile once again. She couldn't let a few little things get her down! She visited her last store of the day, one of her personal favorites-- it was a store with almost any clothing style you could think of-- there was baseball and flat-billed caps, hoodies and dresses, skirts and sweats, and much, much more. She browsed around for a little bit before finding a super-cute pink hoodie, pale and the perfect size, and still within her budget. She bought it happily, and with a good amount of her allowance left over, began to leave the store, though with a combination of her being tired already and the happiness of her new find, she wasn't exactly paying too much attention to anything around her... well... okay, she was paying almost no attention to anything around her.

Vex let out a sigh as she looked at the store from just outside it’s walls, looking across the aisle from the window to an area that held costume jewelry and other such things. They looked pretty, and more importantly…at least to Vex they were shiny. The fact the costume jewelry was cheap plastic didn’t matter, the fact that she’d ALREADY been banned from this store was even less important to the blonde-haired kleptomaniac. As the fact didn’t even register in Vex’s head aside from as a slight obstacle. She took another look at the shinies trapped at the end of the hall, taking a moment to mentally map out the route she’d need to make towards her target.

In another moment, the blonde teenager would seem to disappear to those around her, as from Vex’s perspective the world seemed to fade away as she walked towards the door, memory replacing sight as her primary tool of navigation. Vex would turn into the door of the store her hand moving against the wall until she reached the open door. Vex walked through it only to suddenly stumble face first into something…She didn’t know what it was, though it didn’t seem that big, Vex felt herself didn’t really know what happened. She felt her lips make contact with something as she began to stand back up, and would suddenly become visible to those around her.

As Sienna was leaving the store, she suddenly rammed face-first into something... or, wait. Upon a closer look during the brief seconds that time seemed to slow down as she embarrassingly fell backwards, there seemed to be... nothing there? She dropped backwards with an audible "Oof!" She looked around for less than a second and stood back up, her lips suddenly pressing against something soft. She froze suddenly at the contact... and her eyes went wide as she suddenly saw another girl, one who looked younger than Sienna, appear out of nowhere right in her face... with her lips touching Sienna's. Sienna was paralyzed in surprise, though she had to admit the kiss felt nice... wait, no, she thought to herself, Not a kiss! Some... some sort of weird accident... but... but it's still my first kiss.... Many thoughts whirled through her mind in the brief moments as she stood there unmoving.

Vex’s eyes widened when her vision finally returned. She’d not really guessed what it could have been that she had run into, and suddenly finding herself in a lip lock with another girl had not been expected at all. A cute girl, her mind noted almost without her realizing it. The thought took the girl by surprise, and she herself found she was stunned by the kiss. It wasn’t necessarily bad, but there was an awkwardness to it. Vex had never really thought about kissing anybody, and while a lot of the girls in her classes had begun to talk about things like that, the blonde had never really understood what the big deal was, especially when the topic of boys that the girls liked came up, only confounding her more.

As the kleptomaniac finally pulled away from the accidental kiss, a part of her noted she had actually enjoyed it, at least as much as she could considering it had been fully unintentional and neither girl had in fact intended to kiss anyone. It was still awkward, even someone as normally dense as Vex knew that a kiss was supposed to mean something, but she couldn’t help being almost…aware of something. She could at least see what many of her classmates found interesting, though from a much different source. The girl’s hair stood out the most, a strange mix of orange and white that stood out, though there was plenty about the girl Vex found herself unusually interested in, things she’d seen in other girls but never paid enough attention to for her to realize she liked them.

“uh…hiya….” The blonde greeted, an almost nervous grin on her face as she thought about what just happened. She was a bit confused by how spaced out the other girl seemed to be but dismissed it as probably not important.t the whole situation felt awkward and Vex decided it might be best to get what she came for and think about it later. She was suddenly feeling really weird about the whole thing. “Gotta go!” She exclaimed, not noticing the small plastic card falling out of her own pocket as she stood up, turning invisible once again and finally making her way to the where the costume jewelry should be.

She found it a bit difficult to focus on her shiny swiping, the blonde having to reappear by the shelf where the shiny plastic was before grabbing a couple trinkets and turning invisible. She’d run back towards the door, calling out to the girl invisibly just as she reached it. Using the wall of the place and a hand to find her way to the door again.

“Sorrygottagoweshouldmeetagainsoonbye!” She blurted out quickly before turning back visible as she exited the store. The blonde could still be caught up to, though she didn’t think about such a thing even if she hadn’t found her thoughts distracted by something other than shiny stealing.

Even as the blonde pulled away, Sienna remained still, her mind racing and unable to understand what was going on. She only grew more confused as the other blonde left, seeming to disappear into midair, unsure of what to do. Somewhere in her mind she realized that it was pretty good for an unintentional first kiss, but she pushed the thought away. Shaking her head, she looked around. The girl was gone, but looking at the ground, Sienna found a small card. She leaned down and picked it up, looking it over. It was a small student I.D. card for Wildwood Academy for Troubled Youths. The picture on it was for the cute girl that had just run by.

"Vex Fleetwood...." she read, looking over the card. She was the same age as Sienna, looked like.

Suddenly a rush of air along with a string of words went past Sienna, prompting another meeting. Sienna assumed it was from the girl, the suspicion confirmed as she saw Vex appear further down the road.

"Hey!" Sienna yelled, running after her. "Vex! What the hell?" She didn't quite know what to say, so she blurted the first things that came to mind. "You don't just steal somebody's first kiss and run off like that!"

Vex didn’t notice her own missing possession, between the rush to escape and her distraction at the unexpected incident with the orange haired girl. Ordinarily nothing would stop the girl as she rushed to ensure her new possession was secured, but she’d found herself far less interested with getting back with the shiny. Only to stop when she heard the unfamiliar voice behind her, her name catching her attention.

It took a moment before the question final remark caught up with her, and Vex blinked in confusion as she realized who exactly it was, turning back to verify where the girl was before disappearing again, Vex normally wouldn’t have turned back so easily, she had the shiny but the statement was odd enough she felt a need to respond. Her arm would wave ahead of her to ensure she didn’t run into anything or anyone, as well as to be able to find the girl, forgetting about the shiny poaching as she walked invisibly towards the orangette. Not being able to tell where her hand ended up falling, but that it seemed about right for how far she’d been from her.

She’d turn visible giving the girl a curious expression. “But that’s how I usually steal stuff.” She stated, confused about the other girl’s comments. Not noticing where her hand was resting on the other girl.

Sienna skidded to a stop with a small "Huh?" as the other girl disappeared. Of course, Sienna thought, she must have powers too! She started slowly moving forward, looking for signs of the girl. Suddenly, she felt a hand on her chest, with Vex reappearing in front of her. Sienna froze, blushing, then lashed out, pushing Vex slightly, unintentionally spreading smears of orange ink across her scarf and jacket.

"Ah! Pervert!" Sienna cried out, stopping and looking around at the sudden looks the two of them got, before most of the people looked away again. They were both young, so it didn't seem like a big deal to most, and considering some of them knew Sienna's tendency to overreact, they thought nothing of it. Sienna, still blushing, shook her head and grabbed at Vex's hand, pulling her forward into an alleyway for more privacy to talk in. It was possible that she was leaking ink out of her hands, as she tended to do that when flustered, but it wouldn't be very much.

"A first kiss isn't something you should steal!" Sienna muttered, though loud enough to be heard by Vex. "Really, you shouldn't steal anything...."

Vex looked at the other girl as the world came into focus, seemingly not understanding what was going on. Though the contact did make her feel weird, not necessarily a bad weird, just weird. The blonde would dismiss it for now, distracted by the other girl’s reaction as she stumbled back, looking down at the sudden orange smears on her clothes and frowning knowing thinking they’d be difficult to explain, or remove. The girl seemed really embarrassed for some reason, and Vex’s mind once again went back to the kiss, a slight pink coloring her cheeks as she recalled how it felt.

The orangette grabbed her hand, dragging her to the alleyway and making Vex’s hand feel really, weird. There was a slight tingling before Vex retracted her hand as if burned, not really liking the burning feelings from the contact. “What the-why did you-“ She frowned at the girl’s comment, dismissing the idea of not stealing anything and she couldn’t really feel bad about the kiss even knowing she SHOULD. She also didn’t know how she felt about being lectured at. “I didn’t think it was bad.” She grumbled. “So what can I do then? Try again?” The question wasn’t one to be taken seriously, but Vex herself knew that despite the accidental nature of it, the kiss had been…really nice. Nope that was weird, and Vex frowned suddenly feeling self conscious, the world fading out again as she turned invisible, the spots of ink still visible despite the hyperactive blonde’s power.

Sienna sighed at Vex's mutters, trying not to remember how nice the kiss really had felt, though as soon as the question reached her ears, her eyes went wide and her face pink once again. "Again? Wha--huh? Why would-- what do you--" she continued the flustered half-sentences for a moment until she saw... or rather, didn't see Vex anymore... No, she's using her power again! Sienna thought, glancing around. I have to... oh. Was that... she reached out quickly and grabbed around where the currently floating inkmarks were until she touched something again. "Oh no, don't you run away!" she glared at roughly where she figured Vex's head would be. "Explain to me what's going on first. What's with the rush? Why did you just kiss and run? And... uh." Sienna hesitated for a moment halfway through asking another question. It bounced around in her mind, that question.

She stopped and shook her head, a quick nevermind leaving her lips, though she still waited for the answers to the other questions.
Hm. Her clothes are pretty soft, too. Is this part of the scarf she's wearing?
