Personality: Shy and lonely for most of his life, Malachi tries to be nice and as outgoing as he can in efforts to make new friends. His efforts tend to leave him embarrassed and feeling awkward, but he persists despite his tendencies towards drifting off back to more solitary activities. Since his powers manifested, he's grown more confident, but it's a long process.

Malachi's parents divorced early in his life - so early that he doesn't remember his father at all - and so he grew up alone with his mother. It was a loving relationship, but for most of his life she was kept tied up with her work so they rarely had time together. As a result, he spent most of his free time at home reading, and later playing video games when he was old enough to use the computer.

Throughout elementary school he escaped attention of the meaner kids at school, and would tend towards sinking into a book even during class whenever he'd caught up, or could sneak it by the teachers attention. In middleschool however, the practice drew more attention - from students if not the teachers - and he began to be bullied. It was never an extreme amount and he got practiced at finding places where he wouldn't be found and could read or play on his gameboy in peace, but he left him even more isolated from the other kids his age. By the time he entered high school, he had no friends to speak of.

When he developed his powers and was transferred to Alabaster High, he was determined to change that, enrolling in the SAFE program in an effort to befriend some of the other potential heroes.

Dragon Spirit: Malachi can cause a single dragon to appear out of apparently thin air within arms reach (~3 feet). He cannot control the Dragon, it acts on its own along the lines and intelligence of a pet cat or dog. It can understand instructions, but like a pet, doesn't always listen. It will attack someone if it, or Malachi are directly harmed.

The dragon can be no further than thirty feet away from him, or it will vanish. Within that range, the dragon can fly (up to 25mph), its scales can withstand .09 Caliber handgun bullets (no rifle equivalent), and the dragon itself can breathe a campfire’s worth of flames out of its mouth. Malachi can also cause the dragon to vanish intentionally, though he cannot dismiss and summon the dragon in the same turn. Discounting the extra length of the tail and wings, the dragon can be up to the size of a Border Collie, though it can be made smaller.
