Light Footsteps, Heavy Bullets

Sai watched the spot from afar, making sure that he was at the right address. It didn't take long for Sai to see what he was looking for. A guy was patrolling the small house, handgun on a holster as he patrolled the area. The guard didn't seem that nervous, though he was keeping a close eye out for anyone approaching the building. Main problem with that, was that Sai had been watching for hours now. They only ever left one man outside, they switched on occasion but for the most part only one person was outside. The only exception was when they were switching positions, or one needed to take a leak. Having learned his main path, Sai gripped his combat knife and began to slip closer. Leaping over the back fence, he crouched and moved near the back of the house. Peaking inside, he tried to get a good look inside to see how many he was dealing with, and what kind of firepower they might be hiding inside. HE couldn't be reckless, not with this.

As Sai looked inside, he would see the kitchen, which was being used as the lab. The smell was so strong he'd be able to smell it even from his position outside. In the kitchen, he saw five people huddled around the table at various stations; the chemists, all working their craft. Only one appeared to be armed, a large knife on his hip. Apart from them, Sai could only see one other man, one of the guards, but he was enthusiastically talking to someone on the other side of the doorframe he was leaning against, someone out of Sai's field of vision. All the personnel inside were wearing white surgical masks, no doubt to avoid inhaling any of the unrefined chemicals.

He couldn't quite make out how many more there were. He couldn't keep doing recon though, he'd have to make a play and reallycommit to it. Backing up, he moved over and hugged the corner of the building. Holding his knife close, he waited until the guards footsteps could be heard coming around. Timing it, he suddenly moved forward and slashed at the guards throat, attempting to down him before he could cry out or retrieve his sidearm.

The guard had no time to react before the knife was in his throat. He opened his mouth to scream, but no sound came out; instead, he silently slumped to the ground, dead within seconds. No new sounds came from inside; they were completely unaware that anything was amiss. The dead guard lay there, a small caliber handgun on his waste, and a small amount of blood staining the bottom of his surgical mask.

Sai reached down and took the surgical mask off before wrapping it around his own face. Reaching down he took the mans sidearm and attached it to his side. Moving around, Sai took a minute and wrote a little note for the police to find once this whole operation was done. Heading around, Sai started to peak through a second window, trying to gather more intel before making a plan.

Through this window, Sai would be able to see another two guards, one with another pistol, the other with a large, metal bat. They were conversing with one another about something, but Sai wouldn't be able to tell what. In the far back corner of the room, Sai would see the last guard, who appeared to be talking on his cell phone. From this distance and at this angle, it was impossible to tell how exactly he was armed.

Sai knew that he'd have to make a move sooner or later. Right now he just needed to cause enough problems for the police to arrive and bust this operation. He wouldn't be able to take them all down immediately, he'd just have to make it count.

Lifting up his gun, he fired at the man on the cell phone. After that, he turned and fired another shot at the guard with the pistol. Moving. He ducked down and started to move around the house so they'd lose his position.

The man on the phone took the bullet to the chest, dying quickly and dropping his cellphone. The man with the pistol reached for his sidearm, but took a bullet to the shoulder, not dying but hitting the ground and shouting in pain. As Sai changed position, he could hear shouting from inside the house. The guard with the bat came outside after about a minute, holding his partner's pistol in one hand and his bat in the other, keeping the gun trained on Sai's last known position. "Valerie send you, friend?" He called out. "Either you used to be one of us, or you're just some merc who was completely involved until a paycheck was offered. Either way, come on out. We can talk like civilized folks!" The guard's voice was friendly, but based on how white his knuckles were on his bat and how twitchy he was with the pistol, he clearly didn't intend to talk.

Circling around, Sai heard the guard yelling for him, but didn't take the bait. Talk was cheap, silence was a professional courtesy. Made the job much easier at least, for Sai at least. Continuing to move, he held the gun forward and the knife tight. Moving around, he shot the guard with the bat in the back of the leg. After that he ran forward and stabbed his throat out. With more down, Sai circled back to the front door and kicked the door open.

Caught offguard, the guard outside didn't stand a chance to Sai's combo. He fell, and quickly died from his injuries. As soon as Sai kicked in the door, the last guard peeked around the corner and fired two shots from around the door frame. He didn't take time to aim them, but he was more focused on trying to buy the chemists enough time to pack up what they could and evacuate. After firing off two rounds, he ducked back into the room he was in, in cover from any return fire Sai could do.

Fire fast enough and you didn't have to aim. Getting struck in the side, he let out a hell of pain as he clutched the injury. Growling to himself, Sai moved forward towards the rook the guard entered. He was about to breach, but glanced to the wall next to the door frame. If Sai was gonna take a defensive position, he knew what he'd choose. Aiming to the left of the door, he fired three shots through the door and stopped, listening to see if he heard any sound or movement from inside.

A loud shout of pain could be heard after the first shot, and a soft thud after his last shot. Sai could see the guard's hand hit the floor near the doorframe, dropping his pistol, a pool of blood staining the carpet.
From the back of the house in the kitchen, Sai could hear the frantic sounds of the chemists throwing what they could into bags and containers, scuffing around on hard tile floor.

Seeing the guard drop, Sai carefully moved at an angle to obtain a better view. Seeing the dead guard, Sai turned his attention to the back where he heard the movement of the chemists. Refilling his ammunition, Sai turned and made his way to the back. Holding his weapon up, he looked around to see all of the chemists. "Freeze!"

Three of the chemists froze at Sai's order, holding stock still and staring wide-eyed at him. The fourth chemist, however, seemed to have other plans. He grabbed a glass canister of clear liquid and chucked it at Sai's face. If it would hit him, it would severely burned Sai's eyes and make him temporarily blind. The chemist, however, was no professional baseballer, and so the attack was clearly telegraphed.

Sai looked over and saw the attack coming. He moved to the side before firing directly at the chemist's chest. Turning back to the other three, he looked back and forth between them. "Anyone else wanna try anything stupid? If you wanna live, give me whatever usable product you have."

The last three nodded, cautiously putting the containers they had on the table. "S-stuff in here's refined. R-ready to sell." The oldest one, the man with the knife, explained. He raised his hands and stepped back, surrenduring. "We cooperated. That's what you came for. L-let us live."
The other two chemists mimiced his gesture, stepping back and raising their hands.

"Of course you get to live" Sai said with a small smile as he looked over at the chemists. "That doesn't mean you get to go anywhere though" he said before motioning to the chairs. "Tie yourselves up, the police will be here soon. I'm sure they'll have many questions for you"

The three looked at each other nervously, but finally complied. The oldest chemist grabbed some zip-ties from their supplies and put them around the wrists of his fellow chemists, and finally himself, though with some difficulty. They sat in place and lowered their eyes, avoiding his gaze. None of them said anything further.

Sai walked up. "There ya go, compliance is always rewarded" he said before punching every single one of them in the head. Knocking them out, Sai quickly moved to rounding up the drugs. Heading into the back room, Sai snagged the cell phone the one guard dropped, he wasn't sure what information might be on it, but at least it was something. Running off, it was time to put some distance between himself and this mess.
