Personality: Dia immediately comes off as a shy, quiet girl, often attempting to stay away from attention despite her size often drawing it to her. If one can manage to engage her in conversation they'll find her to be kind, intelligent and frankly a bit of a pushover. She's accommodating to a fault and will often do whatever is requested of her just so that everyone remains happy, even if the request is over the top or extremely difficult for her to complete.

In a confrontation, Dia will always be the first to back down and attempt to apologize if it involves her. If it doesn't involve her, Dia will reveal a protective nature, contradicting her usual shyness to a point in an attempt to nervously solve the argument as a mediator, though a single angry word will send her shrinking back into the woodwork again.

Once pushed into a combat situation, Dia accepts her role as a front-line combatant, aiming to absorb as many blows as possible to protect those around her. She very rarely shares words with the one she's faced against, keeping an expression of silent resolve as she focuses on the task at hand.

Born to a pair of wealthy Italian jewelers, Diamante was born with a silver spoon in her mouth. From beginning to end everything was provided to the girl. As opposed to the cliche of how the standard rich kid is raised, Dia's family life was never left wanting and her parents were almost always around to care for and nurture her.

It wasn't until she began to attend school that her shy personality began to rear its head as the foul beast it was, finding herself largely incapable of socializing with other students outside of the mild teasing she received for being a bit taller than all the other girls in class. She couldn't explain exactly why she had such an irrational fear of speaking to others whom she had yet to meet, but the inescapable fact of the matter was that it was here to stay. She found a great deal of her solace in books and would often remain in her room and read when other children would be outside playing and socializing with one another. This quickly led to a growing weight problem and yet more harassing from her grade-school peers all the way through middle school.

Her entire life changed for the weird when, before the beginning of her first year in high school, Diamante's entire body began to be wracked with bouts of intense pain, like growing pains on steroids with a liberal dosing of needles and glass shards. There was nothing that could be done for the girl, unfortunately, other than to dull her pain as her body underwent a gradual yet drastic metamorphosis, signaling her unveiling as a powered individual.

On the outside, her growth raged out of control, gaining more than a foot of height to her stature within a matter of months whilst her secondary sexual characteristics were also amplified. Though her bust became large, it didn't exactly break any records, but her waist, in contrast, shrank to an incredible tightness as her body used up all of her fat stores to fuel her transformation. Her hips as well widened, becoming slightly wider than could be considered normal, though not enough to ruin the tight hourglass that her body had become without any effort required on her part.

As if to counter the blessing that she'd gained in body image, her arms warped far out of proportion, hanging much longer than normal before the area from her elbows down began to encase itself in an insectoid exoskeleton made of an as yet unnamed mineral that put most of the world's strongest known materials to great shame. It was shortly confirmed that her bones on the inside, as well, were also being reconstructed with this brand new mineral. It was likely that from this point onward she would be incapable of breaking a single bone even if she tried.

As the cherry on top, near the end of her transformation a sharply pointed horn stabbed its way through the skin of her forehead to slowly make its mark on her facial features. Two rings along the perimeter of the horn as well as her eyes now also glowed with an unusual and unidentified bio luminescence. As yet this has served very little purpose in her transformation other than as a night light.

Having missed half of her freshman year as she suffered in a hospital, by the time she'd recovered from her prolific growing pains her parents had already switched her schooling from the private school she'd been attending in Italy to Alabaster High in Ruby City in an attempt to enroll her in the SAFE program, which they'd decided was a surefire way to allow the girl to make some friends through others like her as well as eventually giving her a steady income as a superheroine.

Now taking her place as a senior in high school, Diamante still finds it difficult to socialize with people, though she has accepted her lot in life as a powered individual and has decided to devote her life to doing what she can to help everyone around her.


Power Holder?: Yes

Exoskeletal Arms: While Diamante's entire skeleton is impervious to attack (Up to a .45 caliber handgun or a .308 hunting rifle), what matters most is that her arms have been armored in an exoskeletal carapace capable of guarding against frontal assault. As well, her fingers have become armored in a gauntlet-like shell that ends in pointed claws capable of inflicting sharp, slashing wounds.

Unfortunately, Diamante's body still has yet to adjust to the hefty burden it's placed upon itself by changing her bone structure and the simple act of lifting her hand up to wave in greeting tends to leave her mildly winded. Holding her arms up protectively can only be done for about a minute before she's forced to drop her arms back and open herself to an assault.

Compounded on top of this weakness is the fact that Dia is forced to move at a slow, lumbering pace as she carries her immense weight about with a maximum run speed capping out at a normal person's casual walking speed. Her body, however, has been showing signs of slowly adjusting and strengthening itself to better accommodate her needs. She used to be much worse than she is now. On the plus side, a simple walk is all that's necessary to keep her in shape as she uses all her muscles in conjunction to keep herself from simply toppling over like an iron colossus.

Alright, the history checks out, although I wish to note that starting older will not give you better control over your powers. The control and powering up comes from IC use, even adult characters will start without points in their powers.

Moving on to the powers I'm going to break it down.

For durability of the skeleton, we need to establish a Bullet Threshold ('Impervious to attacks' is too much). Since it's limited to your Skeleton, you can block up to Standard Caliber bullets (Up to a .45 caliber handgun or a .308 hunting rifle for reference. .45 Rifle and up is too much, and .50 handguns and up are too much)

TL;DR:

I do have to inquire, however, if this threshold is a permanent thing considering many superheroes have been known to just be able to block tank blasts passively with their soft, squishy skin. If I can increase her skeletal durability later with points, that's cool, but if I'm touting her as the ultimate defensive hero later on in her career and then a small time criminal rips her arm off with a Ruger... Well...

You can easily increase your Bullet Tanking Threshold with points. Another point will get you high caliber handguns (.50 Cal Handguns) and you can get another one spent after 5 points (spent already, meaning on your sixth point) rendering your skeleton impervious to impacts on par with .50 Caliber anti-tank rifles. Then another point after that can render your skeleton impervious to tank shells or bazookas worth of damage.

And to note, things above your threshold by one step only cause your defenses to break, but is far less lethal than it could be. Two thresholds over though, yeah they could take off your arm. (So for now, beware of Barret .50 Cal's)
